Qipmigaq
Team Baker Tours presents Qipmigaq (kip-mi-gak) Inupiaq meaning traveling with dogs. Learn the history of the sled dog including the indigenous peoples’ use of dogs in the arctic through modern Iditarod racing. Play with puppies, see a team get harnessed, explore artifacts and hear the stories from veteran Iditarod mushers.
Daily presentations at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The fee is in addition to the Alaska Native Heritage Center entrance ticket. Joint tickets are $39.95 for adults and $23.95 for children. For ANHC members $19.95 for adults and $14.95 for children.
Dog Team Rides
Enjoy a ride with an Iditarod veteran musher and feel the power and excitement of 14 sled dogs. $10.00 per guest
