Exhibits and Collection

The Alaska Native Heritage Center collection showcases all of the indigenous cultures in Alaska.  There are tools, watercraft, clothing, pieces of art, drums and more.  See these items on display in the Hall of Cultures.

This application allows you to discover Alaska's Indigenous cultures through an interactive audio tour and videos. Walk through time and explore 6 village sites from around the entire state of Alaska… all from an iPhone or iPod Touch. 
   
 The app features: 

•  Videos - Living from the Land and Sea- A story about teh Alaska Native's connection to nature and their homeland.
• Images- Items in our museum collection
• Daily schedule (summer season only)- See presentation information, dance performance times etc.
• Audio tours - Village Site tour with over 10 narrators  describing their homes, culture, values and more.  Hall of cultures tour - a descriptive tour of inside exhibits at Center. 
• Treasure Hunt - great for kids and even adults! Find items around the Center and learn as you go!
  
  Ipod touch units with headphones are available for rent in the ticket office for $5.00 for your visit.
