The Entire Center
Enjoy the use of our entire facility, including the outdoor campus. Your party will have access to the Gathering Place, theater, the scenic outdoor patio area situated by wooded acreage, the Hall of Cultures and the wooded path around Lake Tiulana. Perfect for larger events.
A towering 30 foot wall of windows and an expansive ceiling provide abundant natural lighting and a scenic view of Lake Tiulana. This spacious, bright area can house up to 150 people (seated). Additional guests can be accommodated in the adjacent theater. The outdoor area adjacent to the Gathering Place is also available for rent.
Our theater has seating for 100 people (theater-style), stage and screen, and ambient lighting. Seating is movable so we can accommodate theater-style seating or dinner-style seating.
Athabascan Ceremonial House
A rustic log dwelling with a traditional sod roof accommodates up to 80 guests and is equipped with restrooms, a five burner gas stove, oven, freezer, refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. This facility has a separate entrance and private parking area.
The building design is based on a structure from Spirit Lake on the Kenai Peninsula. The Athabascan Ceremonial House was opened and celebrated with a traditional style potlatch event on Jan. 21, 20111. An Athabascan potlatch of this scale had not taken place in the Anchorage area since 1939. We are pleased to share this beautiful building with you!
Alaska Native Village Sites
We have two traditional native dwellings available for rent. The Yup’ik community house is an authentic space suited for intimate gatherings of up to 20 people. The Inupiaq traditional dwelling is appropriate for small parties of up to twelve people. Both dwellings are heated and available for rental year round.
Guests renting the facility may use a caterer of their choice. We are happy to recommend caterers.
Make your event truly Alaskan. Plan on the added touch of cultural entertainment by Alaska Native artists and performers. We can arrange for dance performances, Alaska Native games demonstrations, storytellers, village site hosts, and personal tour guides.
