World Music Celebration

The Alaska Native Heritage Center presents an exciting offering of cultural programming all year long. Mark your calendars and plan to attend!

The Alaska Native Heritage Center celebrates indigenous cultures with the World Intertribal Music Celebration on January 21, 2017 from 10am – 5pm!

Featured performers include Aviaja Lumhold & Friends (Denmark), Woosh.ji.een Dance Group (From Juneau), Indian Agent, the Kisagvigmiut Traditional Dancers, Intertribal drum and dance, and the Alaska Native Heritage Center Dancers. In addition to the performances in the Gathering Place, a variety of new short films will be shown in the theatre, village site tours will be available, and a variety of demonstrating Alaska Native artists will be selling their work in the Hall of Cultures. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to participate in a drumming and dancing workshop with Woosh.ji.een at 12:45pm in the Mabel Pike Education classroom! Woosh.ji.een joins us all the way from Juneau, AK!
