Internship Program

The Alaska Native Heritage Center has an exceptional internship program for teens and young adults to learn basic job skills in a mentoring environment.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center provides a unique opportunity for Alaska Native teens and young adults to intern during the summer.  The internship program offers training and education in a variety of areas including museum studies, collections management, retail sales, the economics of tourism, marketing, public relations and other aspects of cultural tourism.

Interns acquire a wealth of information about the vibrant heritage of the eleven Alaska Native cultures while developing a deeper understanding of their own culture and identity. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a summer intern contact our Human Resources department for more information at 907-330-8052. View summer internship brochure here Apply online
